LIFE UPDATE
Twenty-seventeen was absolutely incredible! Like any year it consisted of some serious ups and downs, but I prefer to focus on the positive. In the last 365 days I skied for the first time, traveled to Dominican Republic and Cuba with my family, stood in my lovely mother-in-laws wedding, celebrated three years of marriage with Blake on the coast of Oregon, attended a marketing conference in Brooklyn, NY, took an accidental trip to Atlanta, and hosted my first Thanksgiving! Seriously, what a year! In between all of that exciting stuff I appreciated the mundane moments including working part time in graphic design and growing my freelance art business. I painted dozens of adorable pups and wedding portraits and drank too much wine and coffee (I regret nothing).
Now looking forward to twenty-eighteen there are some big changes in store! I am beyond thrilled to share that I have accepted a full time position as an artist for SpartanNash. This exciting pilot position will create artisan displays for SpartanNash owned grocery stores in the greater Grand Rapids area.
Stay tuned as I adjust to this new role and create large scale pieces for the local communities to enjoy.
I'm beginning this new year eagerly and filled with gratitude!
